All incoming and continuing graduate students are invited to various welcome and community-building programs in January and February to kick off the Spring 2025 semester. Programs are designed to introduce students to essential resources, provide opportunities to connect with other graduate students, learn about graduate student organizations and participate in campus-wide events. There are graduate student-exclusive programs as well as university events open for both undergraduate and graduate students.

Register HERE!SPINNING is a non-impact , individually paced , stationary bike- based cardio workout. In this beginner friendly class, the instructor will explain the basics of spinning and teach you to adjust your bike to a proper and comfortable fit. Spinning allows the participant to control the tension and speed to a comfortable level .
The cycle studio is a private classroom located at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center. There are 25 bikes available. Class will be the following: 5 minutes of bike set up 10 minutes warm up 20-minute ride, and a 10-minute cool down and stretch. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and sneakers and bring a water bottle.Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class to claim your bike. Bikes will be made available to participants on standby 5 minutes before the start of class.

Register HEREA free 2-hour swim lesson to work on water safety skills, basic swim strokes, or to improve current stroke technique with the Rutgers Swim Instructor Staff. The event will take place at Werblin Rec Center 4.5 foot deep patio pool. Light refreshments will be available. All attendees will receive a coupon code to be used for a reduced rate for Spring 2025 Adult Swim lessons.

Join Rutgers Recreation as we journey north to Bear Mountain to take in some of the finest hiking in the region! This rocky and picturesque trail provides unparalleled vistas of the surrounding mountains. This is a moderate hike, with rocky trails and some steep inclines, but the payoff is worth it for this kind of view! Transportation and trail guiding is provided
